Huntleigh Healthcare today announced the launch of the Smartsigns SC300 Series of Spot Check Monitors. The first in a new range of patient and vital signs monitors from the UK based company in Cardiff. The new monitor provides cost effective, reliable solutions for the low to mid acuity settings. This launch highlights Huntleigh’s commitment to enhance and revitalise its existing Patient Monitoring Series having launched its first range of products in 2004.
The Smartsigns SC300 is a mains/battery operated compact spot check vital signs monitor; its powerful, flexible platform offers healthcare professionals a range of measurements which includes non-invasive blood pressure, pulse rate, pulse oximetry and a wireless tympanic temperature option. Equipped with a long life 12 hour high capacity battery pack, the SC300 can be used in any clinical setting.
Mr Asim Ali, Owner and Superintendent Pharmacist at Pill Pharmacy in Newport, South Wales commented after using the new device:
“ The new Smartsigns monitor whilst being so simple to use, also has some great features such as its viewing angle and screen resolution, as well as being within my price range. It is perfect for use in my consulting rooms where I need fast, reliable assessment of patient status. However I equally see it being suitable for use in GP, clinic or even the general ward setting where you don’t need high levels of integration. ”
Patient status is displayed on the 6” colour coded digital display, enabling clinicians to make key decisions at the point of delivery. The SC300 is suitable for use with adult, paediatric and neonatal patients.
